Digestive Map
Five organs work along a single pathway to digest food, and their word parts often show up together in the same clinical story.
You need one route and three helper organs.
Food reaches the stomach, moves through the small intestine, and then through the colon, or large intestine. The liver processes nutrients and makes bile. The gallbladder stores bile. The pancreas releases digestive substances and hormones, including insulin.
These organs sit close together, so a dramatic abdominal case may mention several roots before the team knows which organ is responsible.
