-penia, -cytosis, and -megaly change a quantity or a size: too few, increased cells, or enlargement (Greek).

"PEE-nee-uh / sigh-TOH-sis / MEG-uh-lee." Coach: "These endings change quantity or size."

Examples: leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, pancytopenia, leukocytosis.
