Kidney and Endocrine Map

The kidneys filter the blood and produce urine. Urine travels through the urinary tract and is stored in the bladder. Greek-rooted words often use nephr/o; Latin-rooted words often use ren/o.

The endocrine system is a network of glands that release hormones. The thyroid is one of those glands. Sugar terms often use glyc/o; blood-sugar terms combine it with -emia.

You do not need the hormone pathways. You need to hear which fluid, organ, amount, or size is changing.
